I can compartmentalize my feelings. I can lock horns with someone in DC and express agreement with or even rep them for a football post. Some posters take the political debates so far into personal hatred that they just HAVE to make stupid derogatory personal comments on football posts or social commentary. That's what hurts me. The intent, not the comments. It shows me how devolving is celebrated in this little corner of humanity. Case in point this very thread. I have been feeling bad about Boston and the 2nd man-killing earthquake in short order where I come from. So here I made an attempt at an emotional outlet for myself and for everybody else. For my effort the paranoid among you have rewarded me with accusations of "goat humping" and "button pushing."

Despite how a lot of posters here assume, I almost never post in anger, but I do sometimes post in disappointment. Disappointment in the devolving humanity. Words of disappointment are often easily construed as anger for your lack of clues from access to my facial expressions etc. If I allowed myself to be angry, and with my ticker, BELIEVE ME, I would have been 6 feet under by now. I am one of the original members of this forum and that's why I care for it. But I am very sad and disappointed in what it's allowed to be.

It would probably work better for you if you left off the last two paragraphs.
