Boston is America's 9th or 10th largest geographic region in terms of economic activity, at about a billion dollars a day. That makes it larger, just so you know, than Greece or Portugal.
A lengthy discussion with an economist I heard said that it was probably about $300 million or so of lost economic activity. Obviously not all economic activity was lost as MANY people worked remotely or were in other parts of the greater Boston area and had a "normal" (nearly normal, at best, I guess) work day.
