Yup.
They royally ****ed up the Alex Smith decision and destroyed their draft leverage in the process. This is absolutely akin to what Pioli did in 2009.

I'm done speculating at this point - the bottom line is that Dorsey and Reid had better !@#$ing figure it out because this is unquestionably a mess of their own making. They had a franchise LT on the roster and a chance to take the best developmental QB in the draft.
Now they're looking at a roster surplus at one position with holes at others and they're down a 2nd rounder on account of it. They've filled spots with guys like Mike DeVito who serve no purpose in the modern NFL. So now they're limited on 1.1 because nobody truly believes Floyd is an option and they're up against the cap so they're trying to figure out what to do to free up space via Albert.
Oh sure, they've made moves. They've spent some money. But I'm far from convinced that they've spent it well.
