Well its looking like Albert wont get that 2nd rd pick back. Miami told Dorsey to go #$@! himself. I think trading the #42 to the Raiders of all teams made that quite obvious. In hind site Dorsey should have taken #54. He will still try to move Albert but now hes looking at a 3rd rd pick at best or he can keep him and try it again next year. Maybe he can recoup next years 2nd.
Basically the Chiefs drafted Alex Smith with their 2nd rd pick, a very high 2nd rd pick at that. And dont forget next years 2nd rd pick also. Still seems like a lot for a slightly above average QB. On the positive side you know your not getting a bust, but your not getting a potential star either. That ship has sailed, he is what is is at this point.
Dorsey overplayed his hand on the whole Smith trade( giving up too much too soon) and on recouping that 2nd rd pick.
Oh well lesson learned John.
