At least Rivers had years of actually being an elite quarterback, back when he had an actual supporting cast instead of cheap UDFA-quality scrubs.
Alex Smith has done nothing in this league but be a soft, game-managing pussy more known for the long list of quarterbacks he's been benched for and being picked ahead of Aaron Rodgers than anything he's ever personally done.
Again, it's not hard to see why Chiefs fans are pissed about the trade. They deserve to be.

Rodgers threw 11 picks in 2010, 1 more than your beloved Alex Smith, and won the Super Bowl.
All three also threw for a LOT more yards than Alex Smith. You can have your soft checkdowns and fear of failure, I'll take quarterbacks with the balls to make big throws in a pass-oriented league.
