Had I been at the controls here's what would have happened:

1.1 Geno Smith
3.2: Damontre Moore
3.34: Alex Okafor
4.2: Phillip Thomas
5.1: Jesse Williams
6.2: Ryan Swope
6.36: Zac Dysert
7.1: Michael Mauti

Two QBs and almost all defense. Just the way the board fell. I didn't like many of the skill position players outside of the first round.

Still, I think a draft like that would go a long way towards filling out all the holes on D, turning it into a top 5-8 unit.

Keep Geno at third string to learn for a year, then give him a chance to compete in year two. Dysert is given time to develop either as a future backup or to spin into future picks.

Moore provides depth on the outside where we desperately need it. Mauti fills the ILB hole. Williams can stay in the DL rotation and has a good chance at sticking as the NT.

Thomas replaces Lewis and Swope is a likely fifth WR/STer for a year that you hope can turn into a decent 3rd/4th WR.
I get the reasoning behind the Dysert pick but I don't understand why it was made.

He would be on the practice squad and would be poached in a second.
