This is incorrect. Others acknowledged hearing everything but the work ethic stuff (McShay had heard the on field stuff, Mortensen had heard some of the off field stuff, etc...) even while distancing themselves from Nawrocki by saying that he went over the top, and Casserly stated that he'd heard about the work ethic issue early on in Smith's college career but not at the back end.
This stuff was out there.
