It happens! I'm not saying people do it on purpose but what's the old saying again? Oh yah "schit happens." $17k and 21 months that's a little over $800 a month which I'm sure is no problem for you. But if you are just a hair late one month then it skyrockets up to like 21% or whatever.
I would have gotten a 5 year loan at the old credit union at like what 5% interested or something (I admit I don't know because I haven't gotten a loan in a long time, but interest rates are at an all time low) and paid it off early because obviously, I can make more than the minimum payment.
But whatever, rock on with your new AC!
