I respect how he has handled himself each and every year, through all the adversity, the benchings, and the final benching last season while putting up highly efficient numbers.
But the bottom line is that he simply isn't a franchise QB capable of putting his team on his shoulders and carrying them to a championship.
As a fan that hasn't seen his team win a championship since '70, that just isn't acceptable.
I understand that. The goal shouldnt be just to get to 9-7. I know that Alex Smith isnt the long term solution at qb, no matter how many press conferences fat andy says that hes going to get alex smith into the hall of fame. I get that. My guess is, that you will draft your QBOTF next year.
