If a company spent the amount of money they spent to genetically modify the seed to it's current state, they should be able to reap the benefits of that. Monsanto has plenty of competition....Pioneer, Syngenta, Bayer and hundreds of independents. Not Monsanto's fault that their research, field results, yields etc., knock the competiton out.
