I think Ringleader (on other threads) has it right -- the issue isn't really the immediate post-incident reaction (which seems to be a non-starter), it seems to be more what happened in the prior six or so months leading up to it. Were there requests made by the Ambassador or others in Libya that were ignored, etc.? Maybe the Republicans could make some hay there, because there doesn't seem to be anything post-event worthy of all this political grandstanding.
