Let's cut to the chase and break this down REAL easy for you... when you get a research grant and your findings conclude that there is no issue to investigate further, you don't get another grant to continue to find nothing.

Yes. Actually, I will believe anything. No matter how strange or crazy it sounds. As long as there is sufficient peer-reviewed evidence to support it. As long as the idea is able to be proven to satisfaction, I'll believe it.
But I laugh heartily at your notion of how science grants work. It shows how completely ignorant you are on the subject. Research grants are not given in perpetuation regardless of proof or disproof. The idea that the entire scientific community would fake the results just to keep funding is the dumbest thing I've heard this week. And it's been a dumb week, so congrats.
