Fire Me Boy!'s cat isn't very smart. He shut the bedroom door at night so she doesn't run across the bed and wake him up ten times a night. He started hearing loud thuds in the living room every night. He would go out there and knew it was her, but didn't know what she was doing.
He sneaked in one night and watched. Whenever lights would pass by his window(faces out less than 100 yards from busy interstate) she would take a full run across the living room, spring up the couch and throw her body into the wall attempting to catch the light beams.
Full sprawl. Smashing into the wall as hard and fast as she possible can. Not a smart cat. Still does this pretty regularly.
