Two and a Half Men is still a Top Twenty show, so unless it plummets in 2013, there will likely be a a 2014 season.
Angus T. Jones' comments angered the brass at Warner Brothers, which resulted in reduced air time for his character. Since it's unlikely that he'll be a regular in 2013, they needed another angle because a show with just Cryer and Kutcher just wouldn't work.
I don't watch the show but know several people that work and have worked on the show and they say it's better on set that at any time in the show's history. So as long as the writers continue to entertain, this show likely won't go away.
