Everyone said ***** was the guy to get and Clark got him. When that failed he went out and got Reid and Dorsey and what not and really showed he wants to try and win.

Remember Dayton was one of the top GM prospects in the game. Maybe even more highly thought of than ***** with the way the Braves develop players. He turned down the Red Sox. Along with that, they hired Mike Arbuckle, a GM candidate from the Phillies during their prime years. He was their assistant GM. And Rene Francisco, who was international scouting director for the Braves and Dodgers before coming here. There are some legit guys in the Royals front office.
