Kozma always was a pumpkin, just one riding a ridiculous streak of luck.
Jay's swing, "fixed" or not, is always going to lead to prolonged slumps like this. There's just way too much shit going on, and he's not good enough at pitch recognition to make up for the rolling start his swing needs.
