Not really. They are more treated like short-term investments. Buy low on these prospects, and if they get hot (like Puig), prices sky rocket across the internet in days. Sell off and make some money. A few cards hold their value long-term but not many. Many of the cards I collected growing up through the 90's are no longer worth much of anything because they over-saturated the market in production numbers. Now they make a lot more autograph, game used cards and limit their production.
