I'd rather not have a justice system that doesn't have to compare ourselves to Iran in order to look reasonable by comparison.
Do we really need to lock people in cages for this kind of shit? Does this swat make him such a danger to society that he needs to be imprisoned?
It's sad at just how quickly I am losing my faith in my country. I've always defended the US because I honestly believed that, even when we were wrong, we had the best of intentions. I'm not sure this is the case any longer.
