Andre Eithier is apparently on the trade block unofficially by the Dodgers. Yusiel Puig is the new RF of the future in LA and with Matt Kemp and Carl Crawford under contract, and Crawford's contract has him untradeable. The odd man out is Eithier. Eithier is in year 2 of his 5 year, $85 Million Deal so the Dodgers are presumably asking for teams to take on some of this year's contract.

The price tag is most likely too high for the Royals to do, but assuming David Glass said he would open up the checkbook to take on the rise in payroll, probably thinking that the window to win is open right now and will be closing soon and feels Eithier is the missing link to the offense.
