It isn't hard to get your BA or BS. I don't know if it used to be some insurmountable feat in the olden days; but it isn't a difficult task. If you're willing to take on even more schooling and debt to go after your Master's or Doctorate, it had better damn sure be in a field where you will recoup that massive debt.
Diddy talking down to Hootie because he chose to forego a higher education and pursue a life he seems to enjoy is ridiculous. Hootie realistically added years to his earning potential and won't have ungodly student loan debt to answer for. No shame in that. Maybe he'll regret it in ten or twenty years. Maybe not.
There are plenty of baristas and waiters with bullshit BA and BS degrees that don't translate to a damn thing in the real world.
