You're looking at yards PER ATTEMPT, which is completely flawed metric in this case since Alex doesn't throw the ball down the field.

His yards per completion was pathetically low in comparison.

Every time that POS completed a pass, the 49ers gained less yards than 21 other NFL teams. (11.4)
