They gave up a LOT for Smith, and I'm concerned about how tied the FO is to him. It's possible they'll cut him/replace him/trade him/draft his replacement after this season if it doesn't work the way Andy Reid wants it to work.
If he does end up being just a one- or two-year stopgap, Dorsey got ripped off at an epic level in the trade with the 49ers.
After so many years of dumbassery from the Chiefs front office when it comes to the QB spot, I'm going to HAVE to see the new front office make the right move at that spot before I believe they will.

Hate to tell you- Alex will have a great year and the Chiefs will resigned him to a at least a 3 year extension. He will be our QB for the next 4 years at least imo- so you might as well order your Smith jersey and jump on the bandwagon with the rest of us Homer "True fans" lol
