Just because the Chiefs haven't drafted well with second round picks in the past doesn't mean they are non-valuable pieces that can be sacrificed without a second thought.
It's not just about the players they could get with that pick. It's about the flexibility those picks afford you in the draft for moving up/moving down/etc. and getting the players you actually want.
