Please name these "suits". I can name them. I'm friends with many of them. And in working with so many of these people over the course of the past 20 years, I'd hardly call them "suits".

Music is subjective. What you love, I might hate. What I love, you might hate. Everyone has room for an opinion because all music, regardless of genre, speaks to people differently.
I know plenty of people like you (mostly band managers) that think about music as you do. There's nothing wrong with it and that's what makes you (and them) successful.
But there is room for dissenting opinions.
