I want to thank the Cardinals for putting a dagger into the hearts of the Phillies so they can do the right thing for the team and sell at the deadline.
I say that with absolutely no sarcasm. The Phillies were in fool's gold territory by barely hanging in there, and the team was close to buying. Now I don't see any way they do. They are not a good team anymore and Cardinals fans are seeing that first hand.
The Cardinals pretty much have everything you need to be a great team. They are going to be hard to beat and I am incredibly jealous of their clutch hitting and how they work the pitcher and foul off balls and stay alive in their ABs. Something this team hasn't done for years, even when the Phillies were winning.
