Nice win today. Not happy about Aaron Crow, but glad to salvage the win.
I didn't think we would face Wheeler, but looks like we will. Fortunately with Wright on the DL, there's not much offense with the Mets. Hopefully Santana can keep dealing.
I'm beginning to think we may need to explore another option at SS for the stretch run. If Erick Aybar clears waivers I'd take a good look at him. But he's also got a lot of money due his way, so it's not exactly a good investment.
What about Jimmy Rollins? He wouldn't waive his no-trade clause at the deadline, but there was a little flap about that after it all went down, and he's under contract for next year. If we continue to gain ground and the Phillies fall further, it might be worth kicking the tires even if the odds are about 1%.
Who else might be a good waiver trade candidate to shore up this offense?
