Normally, the sight of Peyton Manning laying flat on his stomach on the Sports Authority Field at Mile High grass would be the type of thing that would give Broncos fans – and not to mention his coaches – nightmares.

Yet there Manning was Saturday night, playfully -- if not gracefully -- diving belly first in the north end zone and sliding across the soaked grass.

For a few minutes at least, Manning was 37 going on 17.

"Pretty decent, I think. I got pretty good range," Manning said later, laughing as he evaluated his belly flop. "You know, 5-yard slides. It was fun. I felt like a kid. I don't know when the last time I got a chance to do that was, on a professional venue like that."
