We don't allow soda, either. Instead of candy, we serve strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. We make homemade Popsicles and while we allow ice cream, that's about the extent of the pre made sugary products.
Kids don't need 50 grams of sugar and 50 grams of fat per day. Hell, adults don't need it, either.

That's great. We make smoothie popsicles, too. The boys snack on grapes, apples, and strawberries. It's a rare treat when they get candy or other crap. They pretty much eat like we do.
The difference in their behavior is remarkable when the eat school food for a while. We usually pack their lunch.
