He made bad decisions and those were compounded by throws that were way off in some cases. It was a suck performance even if he made a on point pass with those picks.
It makes sense they knew he was having issues with the finger.
They were mixing in a LOT of Kaepernick substitutions as a way to get around having Smith throw as much.
And they didn't look very prepared to do them. The plays pretty much all failed. But even if they didn't have the practice reps with them they had to try it cause Smith was not 100%.
