One of the biggest food items that I miss from the Midwest is fresh Pork Tenderloin sandwiches. I don't think I've ever had a really good Tenderloin sandwich east of the Mississippi.

Any time I end up at Culvers I get the Tenderloin. Not because it's great, but because it's the best I've found since moving away from Missouri/Iowa.

I worked for about 18 months down in Greenville, South Carolina & Ashville, North Carolina. I could not find a Tenderloin sandwich. When I asked around most people had no idea what I was talking about.

In a pinch I'll go to a "hole in the wall" Mexican joint and order a chicken or steak Milanesa Torta.
