I know there's still plenty of Cassel stink on this idea, and I know it's not one that is generally successful, but I
did watch the games that Flynn played and I really was impressed by his skill set (as opposed to Cassel's, who I stated from the start I did not care for).
I still want Geno, but we need 3 QBs in here and at least one of them needs to have been a pro for awhile. No, Flynn doesn't have a lot of game experience, but don't ever underestimate how important it is to have played football
for a living.
Every day he wakes up and it's all football, all day. He's been immersed in the NFL game really since Geno was in High School. Flynn does have some experience in this league that would be very valuable on this roster.
I don't want to give up the farm for him, but his deal is actually very reasonble now that the signing bonus is covered by the signing party. If you're okay with spending a 3rd or 4th on a 2nd quarterback in the draft, why wouldn't you be okay with using a 4thish to acquire Flynn?
He'd be a nice addition as a guy that can start if Smith
isn't catching on or as a very valuable backup.
