Ashley, the biggest furniture seller in the US, sources its furniture and components from China and Vietnam for the most part. Shipping a sofa is no different that shipping a refrigerator from Asia. Ashley isn't alone in that game.

What tools do you buy that are made in the US? I own stock in SWK which is Stanley plus Black and Decker. They also own DeWalt. They shut down US manufacturing in the US in 2003. It's all made in China, Mexico and the Czech Republic.
