The video about the data stuff is pretty great. Rui xu (who is @rui_xu on twitter) is a really smart and funny guy. It is lots of fun talking soccer metrics and analytics with him.
He studied at USC and just emailed the team VP out of the blue basically pitching himself as a money ball type of guy and it so happened the team was looking for something like that. Ha
