I had no idea they were driving the Carrera GT.
There is no such thing as a perfect supercar. However, the Carrera GT has a dangerous reputation. Shortly after its release, critics were calling out the car over its handling – especially in cornering situations. The Carrera GT does not have stability control to correct (tail) slides or help prevent losing control.
Formula 1 racecar driver, Lewis Hamilton’s father had crashed a Carrera GT. No one was hurt, although the car came close to totaled. Same for Jay Leno, who came dangerously close to hitting a wall, while spinning out his CGT at Talladega Superspeedway. Why was he there? Did he rent out the facility? I cannot believe they bought this car. Porsche had some real handling issues that other supercars never had. Nevertheless, as they say, a good supercar wants to kill you – know your limits.
