I was curious about how the Royals do in front of big crowds, so I ran the number for 2014. I'm going to define "Big Crowd" as 26,000 plus. I've also looked at Royals games where they played in front of 30,000 plus, which we'll call "A really big crowd."
These stats are up through last night's game vs. Twinkies.
On the road, the Royals are 20-16 in front of a big crowd (26,000 plus).
In front of a really big crowd on the road (30,000 plus) they're 13-13.
At home, Royals are 10-11 in front of 26.000 plus, and 4-6 when we've had 30,000 plus.
So for all games, in front of big crowds, home and away, Royals are 30-27, in front of really big crowds, they're 17-19.
So, they don't play particularly well in front of really big crowds.
