Maybe you forgot just how "valuable" prospects are. Wil Myers wasn't enough to fetch James Shields. And Wil Myers was a higher rated prospect than Tavares. Furthermore, Salvador Perez is worth more than your entire farm system. And we have more years of cost control with him.
