So, today is probably NOT the day to assess long term contract plans as even I was enamoured with his play (and I generally think he's a bit over-rated). Gotta step back from the emotion and see how everything stacks up after the season.

I will admit that I think so far, this appears to be his most dominant year in the pro's. Gonna be hard to ignore that at season's end if that keeps up.

I believe Dane put his personal cap at something like 8M per. I suspect Berry's looking more in the range of 10M per. Gosh, I'd love to keep this guy, but damn, that's a lot of coin for a safety....even a very, very good safety.

Oh well, as I said, let's see how the season plays out, but right now, I'd probably be willing to drop a few more dollars into the Berry long term contract coffer.

If memory serves, they were offering Berry something in the 10M per range. He wants something around 12M +. I don't want to lose him but it sounds unreasonable.
