If you are at the Hyatt Regency it's perfect. You can go from the hotel to the ball park without having to go outside...there are covered walkways the whole way to the park.

There are some pretty decent places to eat downtown and some pricey not-worth-it places also.
Regarding the hotels right next to LOS:

HI Express was booked.

Staybridge Suites wants $198 a night.

Booked at Comfort Suites for $139.
