This is totally ridiculous.
He has never shown improvement because he has never been given a second opportunity. That 66 yard pass was at the end of his first full starting season as a young QB and was only his 14th start. And this was with a team with a worse starting cast than the Chiefs have EVER seen in 15 years. And by the way, the Browns scored 41 points that day and won. You're not going to throw for a lot of yards when your kick returner takes 2 to the house and your RB runs for 289 yards.
I'm not excited that he's our best option. But it's totally ridiculous to act like his young, inexperienced start with a horrendous Browns offensive supporting cast is somehow the bar we set for Brady Quinn.
