In any case, for every bad thing someone can bring up about dairy, you can find something good. Cheese. I'm a sucker for cheese. Great source of protein, but also high in fat. i still tend to have it on nearly a daily basis, as long as the rest of my meals don't put me over my limit on fat.
And chocolate milk can be good for after workouts. I sometimes have chocolate skim milk.
