Those facts would seem to suggest so, but of course All-America votes are subjective and based on past performance. I guess I would concede the SEC the best basketball conference RIGHT NOW, but when it all shakes down, I think the ACC will prove to be strong again and the Big 10 is always tough. It's a down year for the Big East and Big XII, and the Pac 10 always seems a little weak after you get past the 3rd team. Basically, I'm not convinced in anyone yet this year. I'm not sold the UNC is a top 5 team yet.
And no, I don't think the Missouri Valley Conference AS A CONFERENCE compares to the major conferences YET. They've got some nice teams that have done a few good things, including beat my beloved 'hawks, but let's see em do it over a period of time. Can they start piling up recruits and stay strong?
