I think it should be mostly okay for a 9-year old, too. There's some stuff he may not understand, and there's some dark, mature themes (mostly on the empire side, but also on the republic) but I don't remember much that was like 'oh god, they can't let kids see that".

I'm more worried about his kid getting absolutely hooked. Thankfully, he can rely on daddy to apply the brakes for him. Us adults - not so much. LOL
