We went to Laguna Beach for 4 nights and stayed in a bed and breakfast that offered free breakfast and dinner drinks. Then we traveled to Denver and stayed in a 4 star hotel for 3 nights. We spent quite a bit. But, we didn't have to hassle with customs or international travel. I would definitely recommend some great places here in the States.
