Manuel has a MUCH higher probability to be a winner in this league than Geno. Given that we already had Smith, however, I still wouldn't have taken him until the third round. I know this is hard for the Genoites to comprehend, but I think ASmith gives us the best chance out of all the QBs in
this draft to get to the playoffs and win.
Within Reid's system, I think ASmith will have more (OK, at least as many) 300 yard games this year alone than he has his entire career combined. I don't think people realize that in the past 10 years, the Eagles haven't thrown for less than 3500 yards in a season under Reid- even when they really, really sucked. I don't think Reid will finally say, "Whoa, now is the time to stop throwing the ball!" More likely he went out and got the one guy this year who, in his mind, could throw the ball that much--whether any Chiefs fan likes it or not.
