Resolution is just a tiny part of the graphics equation. I think those who've played a PC game in the last 5 years probably know what I mean. Next gen graphics are not about resolution, they are about a stable frame rate with decent anti-aliasing, FXAA, anisotropic filtering, HDR lighting, ambient occlusion, texture and shadow detail and bunch of other shit. All of that plays into how good a game looks.
Shit, 1920x1080 resolution gaming has been out for years on PCs... that by itself doesn't mean much and isn't even considered high end when it comes to resolutions.
BF3, for example, looked and ran like shit on current gen consoles compared to what the PC crowd was getting. I think a lot of people will be pleasantly surprised at how good these new gen games are going to look compared to their current gen counterparts.
