Simply put, the rotation had little hope of ever not being a cluster ****, and I think their suck has put tremendous pressure on the hitters, and then the whole thing goes down the suck shitter.

I agree with the last part but to be fair to Paulino it doesn't matter where or how you got a guy. If he produces then it's reasonable to count on him. We have to remember Paulino has only been a pitcher for about six years. Even with his surgery picking him up was a good move.
