Gunsmith-like people - tell me if this is a good idea, an awful idea or somewhere in between.
The PT101 has an aluminum frame. Taurus anodizes theirs to help with durability. However, as is often the case with anodized products, it creates a rainbow 'sheen' when the light hits it.
My thought is to hit the frame with some aluminum polish to take the anodization off it and then hit it with a satin duracoat so the frame matches the slide.
Thoughts? Any reason why this would make the gun dangerous/unreliable?
