So what is the reason? Is it that he tore it up in college? Or maybe that he won the Saints' backup job over legit competition. No? Perhaps the fact that he's been one of the most productive preseason QBs for the last several years? Those are all good reasons I suppose.
I don't think anyone is saying he is Brady or Manning, but he has done good enough to be given a shot, IMO. He's definitely better than the backup we've had...and our last starter.
