Ya know it is sort of a puzzle up front right now. Players are not playing particularly bad but it isn't working.
Something about the dynamic when Teal is thrown in with Kei and CJ does not work. It isn't that Teal is playing bad it just does something to playing style of Kei in particular that doesn't work for me. I would rather have Convey or Peterson on the wing.
This "good shot better shot" thing also isn't working because they rarely get that better shot. These guys need to pull the trigger a lil more when they have space. I am looking at you Roger and Zusi. Frustrating because it isn't a particularly deserved result. Sean Johnson was out of his mind kid. We continue to be snake bitten in Chicago games. *sigh*
This wouldn't be a horrible loss if the way previous Fire games have unfolded were not in our minds. We are also staring down a road trip that is simply brutal.
It is a long season. I do think the ingredients are here but they have not yet been mixed together right. We need to kill off the long corner thing and not just settle on lobbing the ball into the box aimlessly.
