Huh? In a 3-4, your OLBs are your traditional 3-4 guys. Your 3-4 DEs tend to be 4-3 DTs, if anything.
The prototypical 4-3 DE is 280+ lbs and has ability to rush the passer and be tough in the trenches against the run. Some have done fine at a lower weight, but not all of them are very good run defenders and many of them get flat-out manhandled by the run. Houston in particular was NOT a good run defender at all in UGA. Hali is NOT very good against the run in a 4-3 and he has physical limitations of short arms.
